About Sunnyvale Manor II

The Sunnyvale Manor Addition, also known as Sunnyvale Manor II, stands as a significant chapter in the legacy of Eichler homes, being the first tract to feature architect-designed residences by Joseph Eichler. This historic development, nestled a block east of Sunnyvale Manor I, encompasses homes along E. Duane Avenue, E. Arbor Avenue, Morse Avenue, and Maple Avenue. Crafted by the architectural firm Anshen + Allen, these homes, constructed in 1950, were originally modest 3-bedroom spaces, each spanning just over 1000 square feet, based on the pioneering AA-1 Eichler floor plan. The uniqueness of these homes lies in their open floor plans and backyard-oriented design, integrating outdoor and indoor spaces through expansive glass walls. Although they have undergone various renovations and updates, the majority of the homes in Sunnyvale Manor Addition still retain the recognizable characteristics of Eichler's design ethos.
