About Greenridge, Castro Valley
Greenridge is a ridge-top Eichler tract of about 185 homes in unincorporated Castro Valley, built from 1960 to 1965 and designed by Jones & Emmons and Claude Oakland. Locals call it “the Hill.”

History
Eichler planned about 400 homes on both sides of the ridge, but a recession led him to sell sections to other builders. Planned pocket parks and a community center were never finished.
