About Greer Park, Palo Alto
Greer Park is a 1950–1951 Eichler tract of about 130 homes in south Palo Alto, designed by Anshen & Allen. Its signature is the street plan: homes ring three tight loops, Van Auken, Metro and Moffett Circles, instead of lining a grid.
Greer Park at a glance
Built: 1950–1951

Why the circles
Historian Susan Hall Harrison notes that the loops cut road costs and broke up the monotony of a straight street.
What buyers should know
Part of the tract sits in a flood plain and flooded in the early 1990s. Rebuilt homes must raise the living level, which shapes what can be done in a teardown or major remodel. Ask us for the flood zone and overlay status of any specific address before you write an offer.
