Faircourt and Royal Manor
Sources differ on the names. Eichler Network reports that Eichler used “Faircourt” for the area mapped as Royal Manor, while the city’s inventory lists Faircourt and Royal Manor as separate, adjacent tracts. Original 1957 deed restrictions on part of Faircourt limited homes to one story.
Remodeling rules
Palo Alto adopted voluntary Eichler Design Guidelines in 2018 covering rooflines, siding and glass; a single-story overlay applies only where neighbors have petitioned for one. See our Eichler design guidelines by city.
